Stage 1:
When you first start taking dance lessons the Waltz develops the most basic and foundational element to good social dancing: knowing which foot to use on each step for proper weight changes! Right- Left-Right, as easy as 1-2-3.
Stage 2:
Next, the Waltz teaches us how to handle movement on crowded floors by giving us patterns that can turn easily and change directions.Turn around with your partner like dancers in a music box.
Stage 3:
At this stage you get to combine long flowing movements with graceful turning and pivoting actions. The Waltz really allows you feel light and graceful.
Stage 4:
Continuity movement and an introduction to syncopated timing will bring your dancing into a whole new level of expression and social dance use. The benefits of cross-learning Waltz will help you develop many other styles of dance at the same time, like the beautiful Rumba or rhythmic Fox Trot.
